I’ve gotten interested in this girl, Ximena Sariñana because of my sister. She asked if I’d ever heard of her because she’s Mexican. I hadn’t so I started looking her up. She’s an actress and singer from Mexico City. She apparently garnered the adoration of Metronomy, who remixed a track of her’s and she sang with them when they recently ran through Mexico City in January (above photo, more pictures on her MySpace). She’s got some laid back vocals, but still a very strong voice. Of course most of the music is in Spanish but what does that matter, right? Right. And the song I picked out “Pajaritos” is actually in English so don’t fret. “La Tina” means the bathtub.
