Everyone’s been making a fuss over Oh Snap!!’s new EP Bill Cosby and the Kazey & Bulldog remix of the title track. It is good, but I am really loving the other new song on the EP, “Everyone’s a DJ,” especially the Edu K remix. It’s funny because it’s true. I love his voice and, of course, the lyrics.
Most people probably never wanted this to happen. Ever. These people are, of course, Bright Eyes fans. But Brandon Flowers and co. covered Bright Eyes’ lead single from Cassadaga, “Four Winds” to mixed results. I think it’s a very clever reinvention of the lyrics, which actually sound like something Flowers would think up if he had a little more experience. The instrumental treatment is meh at best. See for yourself.

I’ve done running mixes before, but this one is different. All of these are songs that you probably wouldn’t want to run at night to. They’re the kind of songs that make you think somebody, or something, is following behind you as you run. That turn your sweat cold. I haven’t got a lot of songs, maybe you have a suggestion? Something that would compel you to run and creep you out.
Ever since I saw Rye Rye I’ve been trying to get a hold of everything she sings on until her mixtape comes out. She doesn’t have too much stuff, especially her own. She’s sung for quite a few guys, like The Count & Sinden, Diplo, and Blaqstarr. I found this remix of “Shake it to the Ground” which is really really hot.

Last night a friend of mine and I started an informal dance party for all of our friends at her house. Don’t know how long it’ll go on for but it’s a lot of fun just playing tracks for friends and dancing around, having the cops called on you, and staying up way too late. Our DJ set ended up going on for about 3 1/2 hours. It was intense!! Here’s a few of the tracks that really got people acting stupid.
When John Maclean isn’t making sweet new music with Nancy Whang as Juan Maclean, he’s DJing around the world. He made a special little mix for magzine XLR8R. This one’s got some great tracks on it, including his incredibly awesome single “Happy House.”

I’d completely forgotten about this song and how fun it is. I love Teki Latex (even though I can’t understand more than half his songs) but this Spank Rock remix of “Disco Dance With You” is one of my all-time favorites.
Here’s a remix of Glass Candy’s already awesome track “Life After Sundown” by Portland’s E*Rock (brother to one of the dudes in Ratatat, owner of Audio Dregs etc.)
Because we’re reading it in my English lit class, and because Kate Bush is awesome.
Because Petra Haden makes a good Kate Bush.
