Brand new week, here’s some new house-type remix tracks. Along with a lil description/opinion of each.
♫ Friendly Fires – Jump in the Pool (Wild Geese Remix)
I actually like this remix better than the Thin White Duke one. It definitely has more of an 80′s house feel that feels more epic.
♫ Junior Boys – Hazel (Ewan Pearson’s House Mix)
The name says it all. If the original is too soft to really dance too, this remix beefs the song up a lot.
♫ Simian Mobile Disco – Audacity of Huge (Chicken Lips Malfunction)
We debuted the original webrip of the first single from SMD’s guest-heavy album, and here’s a remix. I like how they change up the vocals on it, also making the undertrack feel a lot meatier. I don’t know why meat/beef is attractive on a song but it is to me. Okay. I must just be fat.
♫ Fever Ray – Triangle Walks (James Rutledge Remix)
This is the best of the three “Triangle Walks” remixes I’ve heard. It almost sounds like something Charilift would make. I love the handclaps and it fits well with her voice, which is pretty hard to do.
