Awhile back, Peter Gabriel released a covers album on which he would tackle the likes of Arcade Fire, Radiohead, and Magnetic Fields called Scratch My Back. As the album title suggests mutuality, Bon Iver nee Justin Vernon agreed to cover a Peter Gabriel song, and it’ll be released April 17th on Record Store Day as a 7″ single backed with Gabriel’s majestic cover of “Flume.” Check out Bon Iver’s cover, and make sure to get in line early on the 17th to snag a copy for yourself!

Well finally the new LCD Soundsystem has a name and cover! Good to see James dancing away.
The album’s out May 18th. Here’s the first single.
Here’s a new track by Jónsi of Sigur Rós from the soundtrack for the new movie How To Train Your Dragon. It’s a pretty, rollicking track (if not a little short), akin to the songs on his upcoming solo release Go.
If you were hoping for a Destiny’s Child cover, you’ll be disappointed maybe.

Download the Kitsune Maison compilation 9 “minimix” here! The compilation is out April 26th.
Just a few tidbits of information about the new upcoming LCD Soundsystem record, one of my most anticipated releases of the year!
The possibly first single “Pow Pow” is going to be released as a single side 12″ in celebration of Record Store Day on April 17th.
You can hear a just under minute and a half sample of “Pow Pow” over at Juno. (via)
Last of all, here’s the fourth behind-the-scenes look at the recording of the album at their LA mansion.
A friend put this on a mix for me and I’ve been love with the dreamy, hazy cover of Kate Bush’s “Cloudbusting” by Wild Nothing (Jack Tatum). The track was released on a 7″ by Captured Tracks. Snag it for only $5.50!
Here are the rest of the videos my sister shot while at SXSW. Enjoy ‘em!

It’s been awhile since Gossip has been up to anything since releasing Music for Men and touring behind it. Here’s the video for the third single from the album, “Pop Goes the World.” It doesn’t get much more “we’re here, we’re queer, move over” than this song. The video’s pretty straight forward, but check out the artwork for the single! So good!
1. Bonnie “Prince” Billy totally steals the show on this track. Which is the point, I guess. Hot Chip says this isn’t his remix of the track, just him singing over a different version of the track.
2. I don’t know what club would play this track, but I sure wanna go to there.
