Just a heads up to everyone out there who still watches TV and/or listens to the radio! Tonight Best Coast will be assaulting both! Bethany and crew hit Letterman tonight (on whose couch the Biebster will be sitting) and their performance at Washington DC’s 930 Club will be broadcast live on NPR’s All Things Considered. All in all your night should be full of lots of surf pop to help you forget about the temperature outside for a couple hours.
They are also hitting the road with Wavves and No Joy so be sure to catch them!

Montreal’s Young Galaxy are getting a lot of press about their upcoming album Shapeshifting. The band recorded it, then sent it off to be produced by Swedish super-producer Dan Lissvik (of the group Studio), who waited 9 months before sending back the finished product. From what’s been released, it was definitely worth the wait.

It seems like every artist who was silent in 2010 is coming out with a new album! Metronomy’s last album, Nights Out, was one of my favorite albums of 2008, so I’m excited for their new one titled The English Riviera. The first single is called “She Wants” and they’ve released a video for it which you can see below.

Toro y Moi has a new album coming out in February called Underneath the Pine. Unlike last year’s Causers of This, the new album is all live instruments and by the sound of the first single, it’s pretty funky. Take a listen to “Still Sound.”
He’s also encouraging people to remix the track, and some have already done so. You can download the stems here.
