Love this new EP from the group Cadillac. They’ve signed to the hip Australian label Future Classic and this EP is pure gold. The 2×12″ and digital release include a set of remixes by Ray mang, Marcus Cabral and, oh my, Miracles Club. Here’s that one right here. Mmmmhmmm.
Here’s the original for comparison. They reworked the lyrics into a deep house vibe that really works, I think. Though the original is lots of fun too.
You can hear the rest of the EP and preorder it here.

This weekend a cloud of good times will descend on Dallas! Brazileños CSS return in support of their fantastic new album La Liberacion bringing along with them MEN and EMA (it’s also a great day for caps lock). They’re playing at the House of Blues tomorrow night (Oct. 28th) and having seen CSS and MEN before it’s something you won’t want to miss. It’s also the one of the last nights of their joint tour so let’s send them home after a great show!
Tickets are $18, $20 the day of the show (so get ‘em today!). Doors at 7 show starts at 8. On other shows this tour they’ve done a drag queen show at the beginning of the night so make sure to be there early to see a local queen lip sync for her life!
Also CSS and MEN have an exlusive 7″ wherein each band remixes the other. Here’s a preview of that!

Here’s the third single from Korallreven’s upcoming debut album, out November 15th on Acephale Records.

Here’s the new video from Jessica 6, “Prisoner of Love.” The track is a reunion of sorts, because it features Antony Hegarty, who did the vocals on several tracks on Hercules & Love Affair’s first self-titled album, and all three members of Jessica 6 were part of H&LA (singer Nomi Ruiz also did the vocals on many other tracks on H&LA’s first album).
The video’s simple and sexy, lots of lights and video effects. The song is addictive and sensual, and it’s good to see Antony back in the disco saddle.
“Prisoner of Love” is from their debut album See The Light, out now on Peacefrog.
I mentioned yesterday that Jessica 6 is going on tour with Holy Ghost! and Eli Escobar but neglected to put up tour dates. Sorry ’bout that! Here they are!
Peep the entire new album from Canyons! It’s awesome!

Here’s a remix of Holy Ghost!’s “Hold My Breath by the excellent Tiger & Woods
The “Hold My Breath” single is out today, including more remixes Falty DL and Cosmic Kids. You can download the latter for free right here for the price of an e-mail address.
The boys are hitting the road this fall with Jessica 6 and Eli Escobar. In case you missed it, here’s the nostalgic video for the song.
I’ve really fallen for the French dance label Marble, which is owned by producers Surkin, Bobmo, and Para One. With just a few releases to their name, they’ve established themselves as solid tastemakers.
Their new release is from Sam Tiba, who hails from Northern France. His EP Black Eyed Weed infuses club bounce with some hip hop noises, weird synths, and plenty of character. Check out the lead-in song, “Zig Zag” below and buy the EP from iTunes.
Sam Tiba – Zig Zag
Beyoncé – Love On Top
Oneohtrix Point Never – Replica
Parenthetical Girls have been releasing their new album as limited edition 12″s, and the latest edition, Privilege pt IV – Sympathy for Spastics will be out November 1st. As with all past 12″s, the artwork features the face of a Parenthetical Girls member (this edition’s cover girl is Amber Smith) and signed in her own blood. Only 500 copies will be made, so get on it now.
To sweeten the deal, when you preorder the 12″ you’ll get an instant digital download called Demos for the Dreaming which sees the band covering three Kate Bush tracks. Get a taste below and get to ordering.
