I’m really excited about the debut album from NYC duo Blondes. They’ve released a few singles (including the amazing “You Mean So Much to Me“) and now February 7th RVNG Intl. will release their self-titled album. It’s a 2xCD affair, with disc one comprising their original tracks and disc 2 seeing those tracks reinterpreted by the likes of JD Twitch, Laurel Halo, Teengirl Fantasy and more. SANTIGOLD YOU GUYS! She survived the o -> i changeover in her name, and now she’s got a new record. Following her mixtape for Mad Decent, her new single is produced by Switch (Major Lazer) and Buraka Som Sistema. The new song is loud, percussive, a bit chaotic. Cody Critcheloe of SSION (I know I didn’t make a top albums of the year but SSION’s Bent was definitely my number one. Or two; I never figured it out). Anyway. the results are below and you might be very pleased.
