The Duke Spirit at SXSW in 2006
Before Prince started making deals with Target to sell his albums, The Duke Spirit struck up a deal with the store to release a sort of “best of” disc to coincide with the launch of some new clothing label. The disc has tracks you’ve already heard (“Cuts Across the Land”) and some that were previously unreleased in the US, and an Alex Chilton cover. It’ll be available at Targets everywhere February 24th.
