Maybe because they have “awesome” written all over them, Hot Chip have been selected to do a new mix for the Bugged Out Mix series. Apparently “with tracks from John Tejada, Mark Romboy, Dominik Eulberg & Gabriel Ananda” and “Fleetwood Mac, Luther Vandross and The Doobie Brothers”. If you’ve ever heard any of their previous mixes (Mixture 2, DJ Kicks) you’ll know the boys throw in a huge variety of tracks that are stickily cohesive and always fun to listen. The other reason to get the CD? The Chips have a brand new track called “Take It In” that they self-describe as “incredible”. Well duh. To celebrate they’re throwing a party in London blah blah nobody that reads this lives in London but if someone stumbles on this, the flyer about says it all. And if it’s too small to read there’s more info at their site. The album is out April 27th. Here’s an exclusive track from DJ Kicks.

And just to further prove their mixing skills, here they are on BBC Radio’s Essential Mix series back in 2007. Mind, it’s two hours long.
